Nicolas Feuillatte Brut Réserve
Winemaker's notes: "Floral, fruit with subtle predominance of white fruits: pear, apple, almonds and hazelnuts. On the palate, it's fresh, smooth, pleasant and balanced." They recommend it with lobster and cream sauce, and with what you're saving here, you might just be able to afford it.

Pelorus Non-Vintage Brut
The pale straw colour and aromas of ripe citrus fruits indicate the chardonnay origins of Pelorus Brut . A bouquet of apple and lemon complements fresh bready notes derived from two years bottle ageing on lees. The deliciously crisp palate displays toasty, creamy complexity, enhanced by a lingering nutty finish.

Chandon Brut (Non-Vintage)
The Chandon Brut is straw yellow in colour with flashes of green and a fine persistent bead. A bright and fresh fruit bouquet of citrus blossom, subtle pear and white nectarine combines with savoury characters of roasted nuts and delicate spices. The entry is soft with generous primary fruit characters followed by a creamy mid-palate offering nougat and nectarines extending to a lingering and crisp brut finish.

Henkell Trocken
This dry, fully matured sparkling wine owes its elegant character to a unique Cuvée of excellent wines originating from such classic grape varieties as French Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Blanc de Noir from French Pinot Noir and Chenin from Saumur. The taste is fresh, tingling, with a lingering finish, while a subtle fragrance suggestive of tropical fruit develops in the bouquet. The finely blended, harmonious composition makes Henkell Trocken a well-balanced, consummate taste experience.

Geisweiler Monopole Blanc de Blancs
100% Chardonnay, fermented and matured on lees. It's a decent value drop for those on a budget who want to try something new. It's not really the right weather to sit out on the deck with some seafood, but this would go perfectly with some prawns.

Mountadam Eden Valley Chardonnay
The wine has a light golden colour, with classic Chardonnay fruit aromas of peach, nectarine and ripe figs. Typical of Mountadam Chardonnay there are flavours of grilled nuts with clove and nutmeg spice supported by a citrus core. There is tremendous depth of flavour which lingers elegantly on the palate suggesting the wine has significant aging potential of at least 10 years.
